“The Run Off” ** Branding the New Poll for the five conferences!

 

I would like to thank everyone from the different FBS conferences and especially those members from the AAC, CUSA, MAC, MWC and the SBC for your participation in the original vote to narrow the poll selection down to the TOP two from the nine selections we offered.  We had over 100 voters that took part in the survey and the two with the most votes are listed below. We will give all the results from both surveys on Sunday June 15th detailing how the votes were cast.

MWC Countdown Monday July 14, 2014

We will start the MWC countdown survey so everyone can predict the order of finish for both divisions (East & West / 6-1)     we will also have the reveal of ALL 12 MWC teams in a predicted order of finish 1-12.   If anyone on the MWC boards would be interest you can play the role of Nostradamus and predict the order of finish for the 2014 season.  We have asked everyone that would be interested in taking part in our survey to please feel free to give us your best predictions.  The survey starts today and will run from June 5, 2014 – Monday June 30^{th 9:00 pm}.   The actual reveal will start on Fan Forum July 14, 2014 – July 26. 2014l  I would like to thank all those that have and will take the poll and the representatives from other schools that have volunteered their time to assist with the blogs, Polls, surveys and the preparation for the material that we gather each and every day to make this all happen.

We plan to start our preseason backwards countdown ranking for the SBC this month (Survey rank OVERALL * 1-11).  We have created a blind survey for all to participate in.  If you have ever wanted to play the role of Nostradamus and predict the order of finish for the SBC football, now is your chance.   We will post the results on ODU Fan Forums blog Monday June 9-19).  Everyone is invited to participate and predict their order of finish.    The SBC feature will start Monday June 9,   we will post/reveal the “OVERALL RANK Top to Bottom 1- 11 Monday June 19, 2014.

CUSA Backwards Football Countdown, Monday June 23 – July 5, 2014

We plan to start our preseason backwards countdown ranking for CUSA this month (Survey rank OVERALL * 1-13).  We have created a blind survey for all to participate in.  If you have ever wanted to play the role of Nostradamus and predict the order of finish for CUSA football, now is your chance.   We will post the results on ODU Fan Forums blog (July 5).  Everyone is invited to participate and predict their order of finish.    The CUSA feature will start Monday June 23, first with the “Backwards Countdown   division order”,  East (7-1), followed by the West (6-1).   We will post/reveal the “OVERALL RANK”  July 5  Top  to Bottom 1- 13 on July 5.

Branding for new Conference Top 25 Poll (Survey)

 

We need your assistance, please take the survey we value your opinion!

This new poll has been a work in progress. Before we launch the new top 25 poll in August we are asking for your assistance. We are asking members of the boards from the Sun Belt, American, Mid American, Mountain West and Conference USA teams to assist us with the development of this new Poll. Recently we had a meeting with several media outlets in an attempt to have them pick up the poll for national exposure. The meeting was very fruitful and we came away with lots of suggestions and recommendations. The number one comment that surfaced was the name of the poll. Our goal is to brand the poll to achieve positive national attention and exposure. We met with several groups from school administrators, sports information professionals and marketing executives for recommendations.

After digesting the input from those meetings and a few other individuals, we humbly appeal to the loyal and dedicated fans that post on the boards for help. The cumulative collection of knowledge and wisdom that is shared from the five conferences has some of the most knowledgeable fans in the country and I hope everyone will take a moment to send us your opinion! After many hours of deliberation from board representatives, School administrators and a few media sources, we narrowed the selections down to nine. Please take one moment to give us your choice and the one you feel will best represent the five conferences. * Survey ends Saturday June 10, 2014 – 9:00 pm. We will post the survey on all five boards and the ODU Fan Forum. The results will be posted June 10, for a runoff. (The runoff will end June 14, 9:00 pm).
